Josh Cooper’s 2018 Breakout FXBRS 114” – Harley Davidson

The Backstory

I’m Josh, a Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast passionate about health and fitness. My day-to-day work revolves around managing IT operations for an insurance company, so nothing is better than getting outside and riding on those summer afternoons after work. For as long as I can remember I’ve wanted a Harley. I remember going into the news agency looking at the custom motorcycle magazines and picking out a frame, bars, engine etc… imagining what my Harley would one day look like.

The first step in building out my dream Harley Davidson was purchasing a brand-new stock 2018 Breakout in 2019 with only 7km on the clock from the guys at Harley Davidson Albury/Wodonga (now Gleeson’s Twin City Harley-Davidson).

Highlights

I love that chopper look, with the fat rear tyre, the stance when it’s laid out and that beefy engine sound when she gets started.

The subtle elements of red throughout and the red honeycomb pattern on the rims are standout features that always surprise people. The small details make all the difference. When you’re out on the road roaring along, cruising in 6th gear and you still want to give it a handful it’s still got plenty of power in the tank.

I could go on like this for hours… I’ve researched and dreamed of every little thing this beast has and I love it!

Key Features

  • The first thing that is noticed about this Harley Davidson is the engine. Once it starts up, the big 128 Big Bore engine from A.P.E screams along!
  • Platinum air ride suspension has been added for cruising and laying it out around town.
  • The custom DLC black fork tubes that I believe are a first on the Central Coast.

What’s Next?

This girl is done! I am super happy with the bike. Like any Harley Davidson, you could dead set keep going and going, adding bits and pieces, upgrading this and that but I am happy with this high-performance Breakout I have created. For now, I am happy to get out and ride it and attend as many motorcycle events as possible.

The next thing for me is actually a new bike, a Harley Davidson Road Glide ST 2023 model… watch this space!

Special Thanks

Man… everyone who has in some way shape or form contributed to this beauty. Thank you!

Harley Davidson Albury Wodonga (now Gleeson’s Twin City Harley-Davidson) for getting it operational for me and giving it a service along with the Stage 1 from memory.

Adam from Brown Industries for doing the bars, tail-tidy and cruise control.

Christian from Illusive Creations for doing a fantastic job on my blacked-out with red honeycomb pattern rims… everyone loves the look you created there.

Luke from Maros Customs has been an absolute legend and mate to me, listening to my crazy ideas and allowing me to chew his ear off getting the beast to where it is today. He is an absolute master at what he does, he’s genuine and if you’re thinking of doing something shit he will tell you haha a massive thanks to him for where the bike is at now.

Also, Jacob from Hills & Homebound for the amazing photography capturing the progression and beauty of my beautiful beast.
